About museum
Over 40 years the museum has achieved significant results in its activities. The history of the local history museum begins in 1975, when on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War a museum was opened on a voluntary basis in the Pioneer House. In 1982 it was closed, and in 1990 it resumed operations. Exhibitions were prepared at the museum that included materials and original documents donated by war and labor veterans, school museums and residents of the district. In 2005 the museum obtained legal entity status, and at present offers visitors more than 40 exhibition projects per year, guided tours, lectures, museum lessons, local history conferences, meetings with honored and notable people of the district, and much more. The museum's collections comprise 12,020 storage units containing rare and valuable items. Over 40 years the museum has achieved significant results in its activities.
