Okolitsa Rural Park is a place that attracts the attention of residents of Tomsk and the Tomsk Region. It is an open-air museum traditionally visited during the International Festival-Competition "Festival of the Axe." On 17 hectares in a birch grove there is a large-scale exhibition by the carpenters participating in the festival—various sculptures, towers, gazebos, fortresses and other displays of craftsmanship. There are also national zones: a Tatar homestead, Uzbek and Chinese courtyards, a Selkup mini-village, and a tent with a traditional Russian stove.
