M. Gorky Park of Culture and Leisure
About museum
\r\nIn 1953 the M. Gorky Park of Culture and Leisure was opened, becoming beloved by local residents. However, in 2003–2004 all attractions were dismantled due to the end of their service life. In 2006 the park was handed over to the municipal cultural institution Public Cultural Center 'Russia'. In 2014, thanks to the charity foundation of Natalya Vodyanaya 'Naked Hearts', a children's playground was installed in the park. In 2020 work began to improve the park area through two programs: the national project 'Housing and Urban Environment' and the federal project 'Parks of Small Towns'. At the end of 2020 the first phase of improvement was completed: the asphalt in the promenade area was replaced with paving stones with decorative lighting; new utilities, including a water supply system, were laid; fire hydrants were installed; a new lighting system was created; the monument to Gorky was restored; a permanent stage was installed; and modern benches, swing areas, a slide, trees and a lawn were added.
