Chusovaya River History Park
About museum
Leonard Postnikov founded the park in 1981 with the aim of presenting the history of the Chusovoy district from the 19th century to the early 20th century. Buildings from that period have been collected here: a smithy, a peasant izba (log house), a village shop, a fire tower, a balagan (traditional booth), a pottery workshop, and several chapels. The most important place in the park is the Yermak Museum, which houses works by the famous artist Pavel Shardakov, a monument to Yermak and models of the weapons used in Yermak's campaign. Park visitors can not only view the exhibits, but also play the accordion, stoke the fire in the forge and watch demonstration programs. The park has become a true museum-reserve where one can experience the history and nature of the Chusovoy district and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past.
