About museum
The Aslan Chekhoev Museum is a unique place based on an understanding of the history of contemporary art. To build the collection, Chekhoev acquired paintings many years ago through contacts with leading artists and art historians. The collection includes works from artists' studios, galleries, and auctions, including the well-known auction houses Sotheby's, Christie's, and MacDougall. This makes it possible to trace the development of art and to preserve fine works for posterity.
