About museum

'Literatorskie Mostki' is a museum necropolis located in the northern part of the historic Volkovo Cemetery next to the Church of the Resurrection of the Word, built in the 1780s. It contains more than 500 tomb monuments that are of significant historical and artistic interest. Famous poets and writers, composers, political figures, scientists, actors, directors, artists and other notable people are buried here. Also buried here are M. A. Ulyanova, the mother of V. I. Lenin, as well as his sisters Olga and Anna. Since 1935, 'Literatorskie Mostki' has been a branch of the State Museum of Urban Sculpture. This museum offers visitors an unforgettable historical and artistic journey into the past.
