The V.F. Mamontov Museum and Exhibition Complex is a wonderful place where moments of life and events of the Uren area have been preserved, created by talented and caring hands over 60 years. It was founded in 1962 and is located in an old stone building that formerly belonged to the Uren merchants Sushin. The building was restored in 1998, and the museum was opened to visitors. Today it houses more than 6,000 exhibits, as well as collections of samovars, coins, scales, etc. The museum presents room interiors and a large number of photographs capturing important moments from the life of the Uren region. The museum is the cultural center of the town and attracts not only local residents but also visitors to the district.
