Museum "Carpentry Workshop"
About museum
In the wing of an old Simbirsk estate is the "Carpentry Workshop" museum. It presents the history of Simbirsk craftsmanship. The museum's map allows you to learn many interesting facts about Simbirsk Governorate in the 19th century, as well as about the spread of trades and crafts. In the museum you can see old workbenches, lathes, tools, as well as food items on the dining table and examples of handmade furniture. Together this gives an idea of what a carpentry workshop looked like in the past. Visitors can also learn about the most famous Simbirsk villages: Kadyshyevo, Baltaevka, Sukhoy Karsun.
