The museum offers visitors an exciting journey into a living fairy tale, a magical world that appeals to both children and adults. Fairy-tale characters welcome visitors and lead the tours; interaction with visitors takes the form of games, which helps to convey the fairy-tale atmosphere more effectively. Information is presented in verse according to an original script that includes humor, making the tours interesting to a wide audience. The museum features fairy-tale settings: the Glade (Polyanka), the Thrice-Ninth Kingdom, Lukomorye, the Tsar's Chambers, Emelya's dining room, Veles's Cave and the Backwoods (Glukhomany).

\r\nThe magical glade is inhabited by heroes of Russian folk tales, kind and cheerful: Lel plays the flute, Balda torments a little imp, the Turnip grows very, very large, the Goat guards her kids, the forest dwellers from Teremok peek out, Ivanushka shelters from the geese-swans under a birch tree, Emelya warms his sides on the stove, Nesmeyana carries water.

\r\nAll museum exhibits are life-size and set in a fairy-tale interior, allowing visitors to feel the reality of the fairy-tale world and to imagine themselves as the heroes of the stories.
