Museum of Folk Wooden Architecture 'Vitoslavlitsy'
About museum
Vitoslavlitsy is one of the unique museums of wooden architecture, located in a picturesque area on the shore of Lake Myachino near the Yuriev Monastery. It features four ethnographic zones representing peasant estates with all farm outbuildings and small-scale architectural forms. Visitors can see exhibitions and displays arranged to recreate authentic settings, as well as dynamic programs with live demonstrations by craftsmen. Various events are held on the museum grounds: folklore and craft festivals, folk games, wedding rituals and holidays of the traditional calendar. At the center of the museum are three churches representing different types of religious buildings. You can also see a village smithy, a stable with an exhibit, and a threshing barn with a riga (threshing device).
