Museum of Naïve Art
About museum
The building of the Museum of Naïve Art was constructed in 1884 by the architect A.I. Paduchev — the author of several of the city's architectural masterpieces. The owner of the mansion in the center of Yekaterinburg was titular counselor G.S. Kudrin. The building has the status of a monument of local significance.
The museum's collection was formed on the basis of the holdings of the well-known Yekaterinburg collector Yevgeny Roizman, which were donated to the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts in 2015. The works were either purchased by the collector or received by him as gifts from artists and their heirs over 25 years of collecting. Each artist is a separate story of the collector's search and acquaintance with the author, and their paintings are an independent inner world.
