About museum
The Elizarov Apartment Museum is one of the few museums in Saint Petersburg preserving the interior of the household of the Russian intelligentsia of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The husband of Lenin's elder sister, M. T. Elizarov, was the head of the 'First Steamship Company on the Volga' in 1916–1917. From April 4 to July 5, 1917, V. I. Lenin and N. K. Krupskaya lived in the Elizarovs' apartment after returning from many years of political exile.
