About museum

The Museum of the Kostroma Region presents vivid pages of the history of the children's movement, the Palace of Creativity and extracurricular work, which were prepared by educators, parents and social partners several years before the museum's opening on May 19, 2021. The main idea of the project is to trace the history of individual life stories, and for this purpose material and documentary evidence of children's lives from different historical periods was used. Special attention is also paid to the Great Patriotic War, in particular to the heroic contribution to the victory made by ordinary schoolchildren of the wartime period. The museum showcases stories of numerous creative events that took place for thousands of Kostroma schoolchildren, as well as the life of a modern pupil attending various creative groups of the Palace of Creativity.
