Museum of the History of Permsky District
About museum
In 1989 the museum was ceremonially opened in the village of Verkhnie Muly; it was housed in the former priest's house. Residents of the district donated household items and documents from their personal archives to the museum. A new building was constructed and the museum opened its doors to visitors on December 1, 2009. It consists of four spacious halls on two floors. The first hall is dedicated to the history of the Permsky District up to 1941, as well as to the people who left their mark on that history. It also displays archaeological monuments of the Permsky District and the interior of a Russian‑Tatar izba with household items. The second hall is devoted to the Great Patriotic War and life in the Permsky District during the war years. The third hall tells the story of the Permsky District in the 1970s–1980s. The exhibition hall hosts exhibitions on various topics, such as solo exhibitions of artists from the Permsky District, decorative and applied arts, and projects by teachers and students of children's art schools.
