About museum
The Museum of the History of the Bisert Urban District opened in February 2012. 'Demidov Plant' hall: in 1741 Akinfiy Nikitich Demidov identified this area as a site for a new plant because the Bisert River flowed here, and all Ural plants in the 18th century were water-powered. The Bisert ironworks was put into operation on November 16, 1761. 'Russian Izba' hall: this hall displays household items used by our ancestors; most of the items were made by hand. 'Great Patriotic War 1941–1945' hall is dedicated to fellow countrymen who went to the front to defend the homeland from the Nazi invaders.
