I.N. Barakhov Museum of Statehood of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)
About museum
In 2001, on the homeland of the prominent 20th-century statesman and political figure, one of the founders of Yakutia's statehood, I. N. Barakhov, a museum was opened in the village of Kyul of Verkhnevilyuysky ulus in the building of the museum of the people's writer of Yakutia N. G. Zolotarev-Yakutsky. In 2012 a new museum building was constructed, and in 2013 a directive of the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was issued to create a branch of the State Public Institution 'Yakutsk State United Museum of History and Culture of the Peoples of the North named after Em. Yaroslavsky', which became known as the I. N. Barakhov Museum of Statehood of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). On the museum grounds there is a two-story warehouse and the preserved house of I. N. Barakhov, where visitors can see furniture and items that belonged to his family.
