A. A. Durov Museum
About museum
The A. A. Durov Museum is located in an Art Nouveau architectural monument built in 1900. In 1926 Durov bought the estate in Taganrog, where he and his family lived until 1940, after which A. A. Durov began touring. In 1987 a museum dedicated to the celebrated trainer and performer from the famous Durov circus dynasty was opened in the mansion. The museum's exhibition tells about his life, creative work, training methods, tours and international recognition. The museum's central hall, "Arena", represents a stylized circus ring where the performers of the famous Durov attraction performed. The museum also displays the interior of a touring artist's passenger carriage, personal belongings of Anatoly Anatolyevich and a film about the "Cabaret" attraction from the 1920s. The museum is part of the Taganrog State Literary and Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve.
