Memorial House-Museum "Apartment of G. M. Krzhizhanovsky and V. V. Starkov"
About museum
On April 19, 1970, the Memorial House-Museum "Apartment of G. M. Krzhizhanovsky and V. V. Starkov" was opened, dedicated to the history of political exile in Minusinsk in the 19th — early 20th centuries. This site has federal and regional significance, since for two years during the period of Siberian exile G. M. Krzhizhanovsky and V. V. Starkov lived in this house. In addition, it was here that V. I. Lenin stayed when visiting Minusinsk. The museum features the historical exhibition "V. I. Lenin's Siberian Exile", and 19th-century outbuildings have been preserved. On April 19, 2020, the house-museum celebrated its 50th anniversary. It reminds us of the everyday life of the residents of district Minusinsk in the 19th century and calls for the study and remembrance of historical events.
