A. E. Tyulkin Memorial House-Museum
About museum
On January 10, 1989, thanks to a donation from A. E. Tyulkin's widow, A. N. Mikhailova, a museum was established, which was opened to visitors on May 18, 1994. It is a wooden house built in 1920, which is now a monument of history and culture. It has been preserved in its original form: a living room, a bedroom, an art studio, a kitchen, a veranda, an entrance hall, seni (entryway), as well as a garden adjoining the house. A. E. Tyulkin lived and worked here from 1922 until the end of his life. The house became a meeting place for artists, writers, poets, musicians, actors, and educators, where they discussed art, read poetry, and listened to music. It was here that A. E. Tyulkin created most of his works, which can today be seen in various museums across Russia. The house-museum's exhibition includes A. E. Tyulkin's paintings, items of memorial significance, photographs, and examples of decorative and applied arts. The museum also hosts exhibitions of works by artists of the republic, children's and youth art, as well as guided tours, musical and poetry evenings.
