About museum

The 'Model of Moscow' pavilion at the country's main exhibition reopened after reconstruction on November 1, 2019. The renovated model became nearly one-third larger than before. Now, in addition to the existing miniature city landmarks, visitors can see the Hotel Ukraina, the Donskoy Monastery, the Catherine Palace, and many others.

The main distinguishing feature of the capital model is the astonishing level of detail in the buildings and the highly accurate recreation of elements of landscape architecture. On an area of 429 sq. meters at a scale of 1:400, 23,000 objects are displayed.
