Kremlin Museums Lecture Hall
About museum
The Lecture Hall of the Moscow Kremlin Museums is located in the former Gedeonov city estate at Manezhnaya Street, which was formed in the 1820s as a result of a large-scale reconstruction of the center of Moscow.
The house was built by State Councillor Alexander Gedeonov in 1824. Later it became home to the family of Nikolai Annenkov, adjutant to Grand Duke Mikhail Pavlovich, who received visits from the poet Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov. In 2001 the ensemble was granted the status of a local historical and cultural monument.
Today the Lecture Hall of the Moscow Kremlin Museums hosts lectures, master classes, conferences and round-table discussions on the history of Russia, the Kremlin, Moscow, museum collections and much more.
