Kukmor District Local History Museum
About museum
The Kukmor Local History Museum was opened on May 8, 1995 by order of the head of administration dated January 10, 1995. It is located in a building that is an architectural monument of republican significance, where the family of I. D. Rodigin lived in the 1870s. The museum displays products from the Komarov Brothers' factory, furniture by N. V. Komarov, samovars, copper trays from the Volodin workshops, and other items from the 19th–20th centuries. Documents, photographs and ethnographic items help tell the history of Kukmor. Particular attention is paid to photographs of old buildings, including the residential house of the owners of the factory «Торговый дом фабричной валяной и бурочной обуви братьев Комаровых».
