The Spassk-Dalny Local History Museum is the only institution in the city that collects, preserves, studies and exhibits movable monuments of history, culture and art. The total collection comprises more than 18,000 items. The museum features four exhibition halls: 'History of the City's Founding', 'The Parlor of the First Settlers', 'Spassk Residents in Defense of the Fatherland' and 'Nature of Primorsky Krai'. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and various cultural and educational events: 'Me and My City', 'Museum History Lessons', 'Weekend Program', 'Museum Calendar of Folk Holidays' and others. A hall used for creative meetings, musical and poetry evenings, master classes and exhibitions functions as an Art Salon. Up to 40 exhibitions, tours and cultural-educational events and lectures are held at the museum each year. Thanks to effective project work and media publicity, the museum receives more than 20,000 visitors annually.
