Kiselevsk Local History Museum
About museum
\r\nIn 1982 the city authorities decided to establish a local history museum. Over the following seven years material was collected that became the basis for the museum's collection and exhibitions. Each year the museum holds more than 20 exhibitions, including works by local artists, creations by children and adults, photographs, posters, as well as exhibitions from the museum's own collections and from the collections of other regional museums. Today the museum has more than 11,000 items, including documents, veterans' personal belongings, archaeological and ethnographic objects, applied art, books, and more. Some exhibits were donated by city residents; they help tell the story of the city and its history.
