About museum
\r\nOn November 21, 1987, Dragunova Maria Aleksandrovna founded the museum in honor of the 70th anniversary of the October Revolution. She headed the institution for 20 years. The museum's exhibition hall displays paintings by Great Patriotic War veteran and pensioner Aleksandr Andreevich Vasiliev, as well as applied art exhibits. The ethnographic hall features a rich collection of household items, tools, antique clay, wood and iron products, as well as jewelry and a working weaving loom. The military hall is dedicated to the Civil War and the early years of Soviet power in the region, as well as to district residents at the fronts and on the home front during the Great Patriotic War. In locked display cases are combat orders, veterans' medals, as well as soldiers' helmets, side caps, canteens, mess kits and clothing. The contemporary hall shows the district in the postwar and modern stages of development, as well as industrial enterprises in the area. The nature hall is devoted to the region's wildlife and presents collections of animal and bird sculptures.
