About museum
On November 6, 1983, the Belogorsk District Historical and Local History Museum was opened. It presents information about the nature and history of Belogorsk from the Mousterian period to the present day. Here you can see ancient flint tools and Scythian weapons, as well as photocopies of rare images of medieval Karasubazar. The museum tells about life in the Belogorsk area during the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War, as well as about the achievements of the region's workers. Exhibitions are dedicated to residents of Belogorsk who became heroes of war and labor, as well as to Heroes of the Soviet Union. The museum displays authentic exhibits as well as replicas of items that have not survived to the present day. The museum director is Kelyamova Marklena Seytasanovna.
