About museum
The permanent exhibition of the Ivnyansky Historical and Local History Museum consists of four sections. The first introduces visitors to the district's geographical location and its natural conditions. The second presents materials on archaeological finds, the settlement of the territory in the 17th–18th centuries, and the life of the local population up to the beginning of the 20th century. The third is devoted to the events of the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War, and the fourth covers the district's history from the second half of the 20th century to the present day. A small exhibition hall is available for visitors, and annual exhibitions are held dedicated to notable dates in the district's history and to local artists. The Ivnya museum acquaints visitors with the history of the development of the Russian village and is visited by more than 5,000 people each year, including residents of the Belgorod region, guests from various regions of Russia, and citizens of other countries.
