Sepychkar Local History Museum

About museum

On October 21, 1990, the first kolkhoz museum "Sepychkar" was opened in the Glazov district. It all began with a small gray folder — the diary of Valery Sergeyevich Korepanov, who recorded the thoughts and observations of his fellow villagers. He decided to preserve his materials, collected over years of work at the kolkhoz, so that they would become the heritage of all residents and workers. In addition, Valery Sergeyevich himself led tours of the museum. Today it features permanent exhibitions such as "Tatar Izba", "Affairs and People of the Kolkhoz" and "20th-Century Machinery". The museum's collections include albums, flags, banners, radios, gramophones and music players. The ethnography hall displays household items and cultural artifacts of the Udmurts and Chepetsk Tatars. The museum also organizes excursion and tourist routes.
