Art Gallery 'Landscapes of the North'
About museum
The 'Landscapes of the North' Gallery is the youngest cultural institution in the Komi Republic, opened in 2015. It promotes the work of professional artists across various genres and artistic movements. The core of the gallery's collection consists of landscape works by well-known Komi masters, donated to the city from private collections. Over its history the gallery has held more than one hundred exhibitions, including solo and group shows, as well as events dedicated to decorative and applied arts. The organizer and inspirational founder of the gallery was Galina Vasilyevna Butyreva — an Honored Worker of Russia and a public figure. In 2021 the gallery became an independent institution.
