In 2004, a branch of MBUK "Borisovsky Historical and Local History Museum" was opened in the building of the cultural and educational center of the village of Khotmyzhsk. The main purpose of this museum is the preservation of historical valuables and the culture of the local population, as well as the fostering of patriotism and spirituality. To this end, 11 thematic sections were formed, including "Settlement of the Region. Ancient Khotmyzhsk", "Khotmyzhsk — 17th century", "Khotmyzhsk — 18th century", "Khotmyzhsk — 19th century", "Khotmyzhsk — early 20th century", "Khotmyzhsk — war years", "Khotmyzhsk — postwar", "International Festival of Slavic Culture 'Khotmyzhsk Autumn'", "Spiritual Revival of the Region", "Everyday Life of the Population of Our Region". The museum houses collections provided by village residents, as well as items found during the installation of the memorial cross and photographic materials related to the village's history.
