Khislavichi District Local History Museum
About museum
In 1998 the Khislavichi District Council of People's Deputies decided to establish a local history museum, which was opened on June 26, 1999. The museum has three halls: ethnographic, military and exhibition. The ethnographic hall displays examples of peasant clothing, household items, tools, pottery and church attributes from the 18th–20th centuries. The second hall features photographs, documents, letters and publications about Khislavichi residents who participated in the Great Patriotic War. The museum's exhibition hall regularly hosts exhibitions of works by local artists, including paintings, photography and decorative and applied arts.
