Geological Museum of OJSC "Polyarnouralgeologiya"
About museum
On November 7, 1945, the Geological Museum of OJSC "Polyarnouralgeologiya" was opened; on October 30, 2000 it was named after K. G. Voinovsky-Kriger, one of the organizers of Vorkuta's geological service, founded in 1931. The museum offers visitors the region's sample collections, minerals from neighboring and distant countries, as well as materials dedicated to the 70-year history of the service. The museum features photographs, maps, plans and other documents. Exhibitions, lectures and practical classes for schoolchildren are also held here. All this makes the museum an interesting and educational place for any visitor.
