People's Artist of Russia Vasily Igorevich Nesterenko is among the outstanding figures of contemporary Russian art. His work is talented and multifaceted. He is a highly skilled professional, an artist with an inner world, a creative personality and distinctive style. He is equally at ease with multi-figure historical canvases and thematic still lifes, multi-meter murals and small watercolors, psychological portraits and lyrical landscapes. Whatever genre V. I. Nesterenko works in, the works he creates are a contribution to national art, possessing great spiritual content and a consummate artistic form.
