In the center of Grozny there is a unique museum-gallery unlike any other city in the world. It exhibits unusual pieces made exclusively with a chisel and mallet by People's Artist of Russia Iles Tataev. He creates from burls — the hard growths on tree trunks — masterpieces, without exaggeration. Tataev was the first professional film director of Checheno-Ingushetia, an Honored Artist of Russia and Checheno-Ingushetia, and a People's Artist of Russia. He is called 'the priest of Her Majesty Nature', an innovator and a pioneer who discovered a hidden natural beauty previously unknown to the world. In this gallery you can see Iles Tataev's unique works, which astonish with fantastic sculptures that seem to play symphonies by themselves. All this helps to understand how beauty, music and the Universe itself are born.
