Ethnopark of Peoples' Friendship, Samara
About museum
Ethnopark of Peoples' Friendship is a unique architectural ensemble consisting of 20 national houses and homesteads dedicated to the cultures of the peoples living in the Samara Region. It was founded on the initiative of Rostislav Erastovich Khugaev, chairman of the regional public organization "Union of the Peoples of the Samara Region" — an honorary citizen of the Samara urban district, a member of the Public Chamber of the Samara Region, a member of the Council of the All-Russian public organization "Assembly of the Peoples of Russia", and an Honored Builder of Russia. It is located in a picturesque area on the shores of lakes. Each national homestead is equipped with various outbuildings corresponding to the traditional occupations of the people. The houses display national costumes, musical instruments, household items and folk art. Here visitors can learn about the history of the native land, the country's history, and examples of the labor and military feats of Russia's multiethnic people. The Ethnopark of Peoples' Friendship hosts guided tours, workshops, tastings and exhibitions.
