About museum

In the village of Ust-Koksa, on the site of the central homestead of the Katunsky Biosphere Reserve, a museum was established in an octagonal log ail (a traditional Altai dwelling). It displays traditional household items, including national clothing, tableware, musical instruments, and hunting and herding gear. You can also learn about the history of the Altai people, their ecological worldview, and customs. The museum offers guided tours, workshops, and entertainment programs.
