About museum

The exhibition is housed in one of the buildings of the Spaso‑Borodino Monastery (the former monastic cells), which accommodated a mobile field hospital at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. It is devoted to the defensive battles on the Borodino Field, which became part of the great Battle of Moscow; the activities of partisans in the temporarily occupied territory of today's Mozhaysky District; the liberation of the Borodino lands from the Nazi invaders; and the subsequent combat history of Borodino's heroes in 1941–1942.
