House-Museum of Sh.A. Khudayberdin
About museum
The museum is located in a separate two-story wooden mansion with a mezzanine, built in the 1860s by order of Major General Kapiton Parfenovich Slotov. In October 1923 the government of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (BASSR) granted the house to Shagit Akhmetovich Khudayberdin (1896–1924) — a party and state figure and a participant in the establishment of Soviet power in Bashkortostan. During his time in leadership positions, Sh.A. Khudayberdin assisted in opening orphanages, libraries and in the development of the mass media. He was the organizer of the first newspaper in the republic in the Bashkir language, "Bashkortostan".
By a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 1996 and by an order of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 1998, the House-Museum of Sh.A. Khudayberdin was established. It first opened its doors to visitors on October 10, 2000. The house is a historical and architectural monument of republican significance and is under state protection.
The museum provides an overview of the development of Bashkortostan's national-state institutions and the formation of the republic in the 1920s. A separate hall is the memorial room of the Khudayberdin family.
The House-Museum of Sh.A. Khudayberdin hosts educational lessons, lessons of courage, events and meetings.
