About museum
On October 28, 2001, on the 80th anniversary of Vladimir Alexandrovich Igoshev, the House-Museum of the People's Artist of the USSR was opened. It was established for the appreciation and wide popularization of his work, which reflected the beauty and history of the Siberian land, and also for the preservation of 1,127 works by the artist. The museum includes a collection of paintings, a collection of household items and decorative-applied arts, a collection of graphics by Soviet artists, and a photographic materials fund. The House-Museum project was developed by Moscow architect Yevgeny Viktorovich Ingem, who took into account the need for the museum to include the artist's studio and apartments. The exhibition "Northern Way" features more than a hundred of Igoshev's works, and the study houses a permanent exhibition "Studio of the People's Artist of the USSR V. A. Igoshev" with a collection of decorative-applied art items and the master's graphic works.
