House of A.S. Golubkina
About museum
In Zaraysk, in the old part of the town, there is a house that preserves the memory of the great Russian sculptor Anna Semyonovna Golubkina. In this house A. S. Golubkina was born and lived until, at the age of 25, she left for Moscow, St. Petersburg and Paris to study. In the summer months Anna Semyonovna always returned to her native town and worked in the studio where many of her works were created. The house has an exhibition hall where visitors can learn about the sculptor's creative life and see her works. On the second floor there is a memorial exhibition dedicated to the Golubkin family, presenting household items and furniture that testify to the era in which Anna Semyonovna lived, and to her tastes and preferences. Particular attention is attracted to the sculptor's works, as well as to items that witnessed the life of the Golubkin family: a table, bookshelves, and a two-volume edition of N. V. Gogol with a dedication inscription.
