Cherevkovsky Museum

\r\nIn 1961, schoolteacher V. A. Ponomarev founded the Cherevkovsky school museum. In 1993 it became part of the museum network of the Ministry of Culture of Russia as a branch of the Krasnoborsk Historical-Memorial and Art Museum. It became the state repository of the material and spiritual culture of Cherevkovo, which is a member of the association 'The Most Beautiful Villages of Russia'. The museum has more than three thousand exhibits, including items of ethnography, numismatics, painting, and decorative and applied arts. Here you can see a collection of samovars, gold-embroidered items, painted spinning wheels, Ludong ceramics, and peasant household items. The museum hosts permanent exhibitions: 'History of the Village. Everyday Life and Crafts' and 'Cherevkovo. 20th Century', as well as temporary exhibitions.
