About museum
The Multimedia Center of the Russian Museum is located in the Western Pavilion of the Mikhailovsky Castle, which was built by the architect Vincenzo Brenna between 1798 and 1799. Since then it has hosted online lectures, meetings with artists, and online broadcasts. The Center integrates the latest digital technologies and helps broaden the possibilities for representing exhibition material. It also researches and creates multimedia in culture based on the Russian Museum's collection, history, and traditions.
