Metallurgical Industry Center
About museum
The Metallurgical Industry Center is a cultural and educational complex dedicated to the history and contemporary state of the metallurgical industry. The topic is presented using various museum technologies, as well as interactive screens, electronic displays, and audiovisual installations. Visitors can learn about the history of metallurgy, try on armor or a work uniform, smelt steel, and bring models of key environmental facilities to life. The complex features the exhibition 'Journey to the Steel Roots' — a collection of real pieces of equipment used for the production and transportation of metal products. The center also houses the railcar museum of Academician I. P. Bardin, who played an important role in the history of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant.
