About museum
In 1894 a building in the style of provincial classicism was constructed, which today houses the local history museum. It was founded on December 22, 1971, and its exhibition and display area is 162 sq. m. The museum presents items reflecting the history of the Buturlinsky region from prehistoric times to the present. The museum's most notable exhibition is "Tales of the Ancient Stone", which includes a Bornukov animalistic figurine made of soft stone and other works in various materials. The museum also hosts events, meetings, and lessons, and its collections number about 6,000 items in its holdings.
