Bolshemurashkinsky Historical and Art Museum
About museum
The museum is located in a two-storey merchants' mansion from 1915 that belonged to the brothers V. I. and A. I. Monev. It opened on September 1, 1962, and after the mansion was transferred to it in 1978 it received the status of a state institution. It houses more than 11,000 items, including an exhibition of mammoth bones, tusks and teeth found in the district, weapons and bombs from the times of Stepan Razin and the Great Patriotic War (World War II), as well as Soviet military uniforms. Here you can see materials on the life and everyday life of the merchant community, including the merchant room.
