Bolotninsky District Historical and Local History Museum
About museum
The Hall of Antiquities allows visitors to experience the life of residents of the Bolotninsky District at the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century. Here you can see a Russian stove, kitchen utensils, follow the stages of linen fabric production, learn about the development of pottery and the tools used to build houses and boats. The history of Orthodoxy in the district is also presented here, as well as the exhibition 'Volchenko Brothers' Trading Shop'. In the third hall you can learn about the development of the district during the Soviet period up to the present day, and also take part in various events. The museum's collections include more than five thousand items in the main and auxiliary funds.
