Beloretsk Historical and Local Lore Museum is a place where you can learn about the history and culture of the Beloretsk district. In 1969 a public museum was opened, which from 1995 to 2006 was a branch of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and since 2006 has been municipal. The museum's collection includes almost 13,000 exhibits, including household items of Russian serf peasants, Bashkirs, exhibits from the history of the region's factories, a mineralogical collection, and more. The museum features permanent exhibitions that visitors are invited to explore. Also, traveling exhibitions from private collections and from the collections of other museums are held monthly. Beloretsk Historical and Local Lore Museum is an ideal place to get acquainted with the history and culture of the Beloretsk district. Here you can learn about nature, archaeology, Bashkir ethnography, the history of the factories, the everyday life of Russian peasants, the events of the Civil War and the victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as an extensive mineral collection.
