The Municipal Budgetary Cultural Institution 'Atyashevsky District Local History Museum' was opened in May 2003. It contains about 4,000 exhibits and receives approximately 4,700 visitors annually. The exhibition area is 470 sq. m and is arranged in four halls. The ethnography hall displays various items that belonged to peasants in the 19th–20th centuries, including antique agricultural and craft tools, traditional utensils, earthenware, handicraft tools and clothing. You can also see works by the local taxidermist A. V. Karpinchik. Other halls present works by visual and applied arts masters, graphics by artist V. I. Vechkanov, and paintings by M. D. Ponetaikin. The Hall of Military Glory features an exhibition about participants in military actions, including photographs, archival documents, awards, frontline letters, and original finds recovered by search teams. The 'History and Contemporary Life of the District' hall displays materials reflecting the life and activities of various institutions, organizations and enterprises at different times.
