Yasnogorsk Art and Local History Museum
About museum
The Yasnogorsk District Art and Local History Museum welcomed its first visitors on December 2, 1971. The museum's exhibition layout immediately attracted the attention of visitors of different ages and interests: three nature halls, an antiquities hall, a hall of military glory, and a Soviet-period hall. At various times the museum underwent reconstructions, exhibitions were renewed, and the collections were supplemented with new acquisitions.

\r\nThus, in December 1979 a diorama titled "Tank Battle at Revyakino Station", created by Honored Artist of the RSFSR A.I. Penkov, was ceremoniously opened in the hall of military glory.

\r\nIn 1991, after an extensive capital repair and reconstruction, the museum completely renewed its exhibition, expanded its space by opening a new exhibition hall and a collections storage. With the expansion of exhibition space, prospects for exhibition activities emerged. As a result of this active work, the museum's collections began to be replenished with new acquisitions: paintings and works of decorative and applied arts.
