About museum
The Architectural and Ethnographic Museum "Angarskaya Village named after O. Leonov" is located on a 35-hectare site and comprises two sectors: Russian and Evenki. In the Russian sector, monuments moved from villages of the Angara region have been restored, as well as four manor complexes, a smithy and a mangazeya barn. Here you can see wooden architectural monuments dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century, as well as the unique Bratskaya Tower (1654) and the Church of St. Michael the Archangel (1875). The Evenki sector presents residential and shamanic complexes, hunting traps, a system of Evenki signs, a shaman's mask and reconstructed types of burials. The museum hosts annual festivals as well as educational and interactive programs.
