About museum
The Architectural and Ethnographic Museum 'Angarskaya Village named after O. Leonov' is located on a 35-hectare site and has two sectors: Russian and Evenki. In the Russian sector, restored monuments relocated from villages of the Angara region have been preserved, as well as four manor complexes, a smithy and a mangazeya-style barn. Here you can see examples of wooden architecture dating from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, as well as the unique Bratskaya Tower (1654) and the St. Michael the Archangel Church (1875). The Evenki sector presents residential and shamanic complexes, hunting traps, a system of Evenki symbols, a shamanic mask and reconstructed types of burials. The museum hosts annual festivals as well as educational and interactive programs.
